Post subject: OVERHEATING? dodge 1500 v6
dodge 1500 v6 runs hot about 210 would like to see it run about 185 took thermostat out still runs about 210 in the spring and winter run about 165. the gauge light comes on about 210 and i look and the oil pressure gauge is flat lining give it a little gas and it pops back up to 40 lbs of pressure i do not no if the heat of the motor it causing the gauges to freak out or if i have a bad oil pump when temps get higher with the ac on the truck get hotter faster and once truck gets up to 210 i cool it off at a car wash temps drop and i am scared to let it get any hotter than 210 but it seems to stay about that temp there is no oil in water or no water in oil. no leaks real poor performance at 210 any ideas? also have changed belt and took out the thermostat and fan clutch seems alright but do not know how to check it help
